
This will be a rarely updated log of stuff. Mostly progress towards goals, and day to day achievements. Chances are though it will go weeks possibly months without updates. It won’t go years though… I will try and make sure it doesn’t get hacked though if I can… cyber-security in 2026 is gonna be weird!
Main goals for 2026
- Mandarin Study – Get HSK Band 2 (3.1 version) completed. Which won’t be hard because I am almost done HSK2 (2.0) already. It’s just making sure I update to the new system and focus on memorization of the word lists, character lists and getting the grammar points I haven’t covered understood in a way I can easily use them. My desire is to get HSK Band 3 before end of 2026, but… that might be pushing it… we will see. Not sure if I should do it officially (taking the official tests) or not.
- Health Goal – Lower my weight to 65kg, and/or be reasonably fit with it. Capable of doing at least 10 pull ups, it would be nice to be able to do 20, but 10 is the goal. Push Ups 20, more would be good but 20 is the goal. 100 Squats which I suspect will be the easiest to achieve as I already do 25 or more without issue, but increasing that to 100 will not be overnight. 30 min 5K which may be the hardest to accomplish.
- Wealth Goal – Reduce my debt to the following: VISA $15,0000, MC $5,000. In 2027 I will seek out any and all overdue debt, and see if I can remove it if I achieve the 2026 goal. I am not far off this already so … should be pretty doable!
This seems achievable. Not TOO intense… but won’t be too easy either.
